Despite the grandeur of Bab Makina Square, this legendary space was not enough to accommodate the thousands of spectators who came especially to attend Sami Yusuf's evening. 

The most anticipated show of the Fes Sacred Music Festival is undoubtedly that of Sami Yusuf. This masterful concert attracted an incredible human tide to the point that a large part of the audience could not find a place or access the site.

 Around 9pm, virtuoso Sami Yusuf appeared dressed all in black and began by greeting his audience and introducing the musicians who had come from all over the world. 

With great respect and enthusiasm, the star wanted to present the magnificent Nabila Maan and the great Smail Bouija who impressed the audience with their warm voices. 

With an unparalleled charisma and the spontaneity of a big star, Sami Yusuf started the evening with songs with Andalusian melodies in keeping with the theme of this 27th edition of the festival. 

Melodies carried by a Spanish singer and guitarist who wonderfully accompanied Sami Yusuf throughout the evening. 

The conquest did not stop there, since the artist went so far as to plunge the crowd into emotion by performing spiritual songs from the Moroccan repertoire. Songs that revealed his great sensitivity as an artist and humanist. 

Nabila Maan, a pure and angelic voice.

Known for her sensitivity and velvety voice, Nabila Maan shone brightly during this evening. By performing Sufi and spiritual melodies alongside Sami Yusuf, the singer once again proved that she is one of the most precious Moroccan voices. To surpass herself, the singer even hummed a song in Amazigh that was widely applauded by the audience. 

Smail Bouija, an artist was born tonight.

Known among Sufis and spiritual music lovers, Smail Bouija has a vocal power and an extraordinary musical technique. With great ease, the singer goes from the highest notes to the softest with a voice that has captivated the audience.

Smail Bouija also impressed the audience with his complicity with Sami Yusuf who did not hesitate to move alongside him and applaud him.

The complicity between the artists, the fusion of Arabic, Moroccan, Spanish and Asian musical notes were Sami Yusuf's challenge during this evening; "This is my third participation and it is always like a return to the sources. I am honored to offer a concert that will be very special where I will perform completely new arrangements. I like to create a connection with my audience live, and since the theme of this edition is linked to Spain, I will add a strong flamenco element to the compositions. I will be joined by incredible flamenco musicians who will bring their passionate sound in this musical journey, as well as many other brilliant musicians from around the world," he said. 

The performance of Sami Yusuf and the musicians left scent of joy on Bab Makina Square, which will continue to welcome artists from all over the world throughout the festival.
